“Flavien Gillié is a Belgian sound artist, field recordist and producer seeking to link places, voices and memory in his work. The present album is a sublime collection of drones with an individual touch sure to please even the most jaded listener. “I spend a lot of time recording out in the field, looking for natural drones”, the artist explains. “This time, I felt the need to come back to the studio and recreate the drones I heard outside, using a rather simple setup consisting of a pedal board and various feedback sources to generate the sounds.”
