Though I cannot remember anything new being uploaded to the server for a long time, the magnificent UbuWeb has decided to officially close its doors. Thankfully, the website will stay up and you will have access to all these incredible artifacts in perpetuity.
I bought this album quite a while ago, but never had the chance to sit with it properly until this week. It’s a well-done mix of clarinet and experimental electronic music composed by David Rothenberg and Bernhard Wöstheinrich, taking their cues from some famous authors, including my personal favorite, Jorge Luis Borges.
We end 2022 and walk into 2023 with a shimmering, hopeful release. German composer Harald Bertram collaborates with the ‘Last American Poet’, Shane Beck in a collaboration of Berlin School-influenced electronics and poetry. A lovely release to end our year with.
