As much as I try to absorb as many new releases and great reissues as possible, I’m only one man, and sometimes treasures slip through the cracks. I wish to thank Praveer Baijal, who, besides being a great and good guy, is also a man of exquisite musical taste, for pointing me to this release.
I don’t know much about TAL Music except that it’s run by German electronic musician Stefan Schneider. I certainly remember Ored Recordings, which released scores of amazing ethnographic records during the 2010s and still has a solid presence on Bandcamp. All credit to Stefan, Praveer, and Bulat Khalilov for enlightening me about this compilation.
