“Toni Dimitrov is a Macedonian multimedia artist, cultural producer, radio host, communicologist, organizer, curator, label owner (Élan Vital Recordings), mountain/rock climber, and nature lover. He connects all those with a love for music, sound art, and field recordings. Currently, he is the director of the Cultural Information Center in Skopje. Toni Dimitrov is also a longtime Mahorka friend and collaborator, for nearly 20 years now, having shared stage in Sofia with Skylined at the org.org festival back in 2006, provided remixes for the label’s 100th release, Skylined’s “Whrall Variations”, and for krāllār’s “w/d r/w” reworks album in 2018.
Dionisaf (Dionis Afonichev) is an American ambient composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound artist, creating immersive soundscapes blending modular synths, guitars, and field recordings. His work explores themes of nature, time, and silence, ranging from meditative ambient to experimental storytelling. He is also the founder and manager of Chitra Records, an experimental ambient music label bringing a unique, specific blend of surreal music for a deep listening experience.
Formed by two longform ambient pieces – the title track and the b-side “Orthodoxy”, “Pastoral” is a collaboration album of Toni Dimitrov and Dionisaf, debut release of the duo coming out on Mahorka as free (cc) digital download in beautiful limited cassette edition.”
