Living in a new country allows me to explore and immerse myself in the local music scene. On top of that, the legendary Steve Layton recommended this hidden gem to me, which is why I’m excited to share my latest discovery from the Tbilisi dream pop scene: Gwatta. Her sound reminds me of a modernized Kate Bush, which is high praise indeed. While her voice may not soar quite as high as Kate’s, it fits beautifully within the relaxed music that would feel right at home on a 1970s prog-rock album.
