“Maria Teriaeva is a Siberian-born, Paris-based musician and composer. She uses the Buchla modular synthesizer as a framework for her music combining it with acoustic instruments and voice,” so says her bio on Bandcamp. She has become quite a revelation to me, as her music is some of the must stunningly weird and enticing music I’ve heard in a while. On offer are simple beats on first listening, but you hear more and more intricacy the deeper you listen. Teriaeva is one of the rare artists who uses the Buchla to tasteful effect, and this album put you in a good place mentally. Enjoyable.
