What a great find this is! Charlotte Cegara manages to blend touches of Siouxsie & The Banshees with Kate Bush’s earlier vocal acrobatics. She’s going to be worth exploring further, I’m sure.

From the legendary Right Tempo Records: “In the 1990s, Claudio Coccoluto became one of the most creative and influential DJs in the European electronic scene. Mukta – Indian Sitar & World Jazz
A new band for me, Muktar is from France, and their Bandcamp site introduces them this way: “French bassist Simon Mary and his band have performed on stages around the world. Generous and modern shamans, talented alchemists, Mukta occupy more than ever a special place on the chessboard of new world Continue Reading
Orthodox Outcast – Bright Sadness
I never expected to encounter a band of devout Christians like Orthodox Outcast, whose sound evokes the demo tapes of early New Order, the Cocteau Twins, or a much more stripped-down version of the Human League. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This is my surprise of the year.
Dan Krimm – Second Wind
Many years ago, I had the pleasure of reviewing fretless bassist and fellow Californian Dan Krimm’s album on my old blog, A Miscellany of Tasteful Music. Recently, Dan informed me that he has a new album coming out, and it’s one of the most elegant and relaxing listens I’ve had in a long Continue Reading

Odion Livingstone – Where Are Our People
There doesn’t seem to be much info available about Odion Livingstone, but this is a nice, sunny, mellow Nigerian psych album.
Carrion – Where Did You Go?
According to their Bandcamp site, “Carrion is an experimental sound project from Leeds,” who offer a 15-minute track of a soft, repetitive motif occasionally broken up by what sounds like a heavy rainstorm of noise.
Michael Jackson – Thriller
No posts today because I have to attend a school function, so I leave you with a Halloween classic. This is one of the very rare times Michael Jackson will ever be on my blog, but in this case, it’s for a worthy reason.
